ESOS Phase 2 Compliance
Does your business need to be ESOS Phase 2 compliant?
The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme designed to help organisations optimise their energy savings through efficiency opportunities. It applies to organisations in the UK that meet certain qualification criteria.
The deadline for phase 2 of ESOS was 5th December 2019. If your business met the ESOS qualifications on this date and has not yet notified the Environment Agency (the scheme’s administrator in the UK) that you have complied with your ESOS obligations, you risk being fined up to £90k by your environmental regulator.
